2006 Pennsylvania Governor Race

While I do not personally buy the polls that show him trailing by double digits, there is little question that Lynn Swann's campaign to unseat Ed Rendell has been going through a very rough patch. Hopefully, this 5 city swing by former Governor Ridge can re-invigorate Swann's campaign and put it back on the trail to victory.

I am more concerned with Sw... (Below threshold)

I am more concerned with Swannie's lack of cash than the polls at this point. The incumbent doesn't usually move up very much, and typically only gets a third or fewer of the late-deciders, so there is plenty of time.

Swann is new to politics, so people want to hear him make his case for the job. It's hard to do that without enough money to compete with the other guy's advertising.

He'd have been a lot better... (Below threshold)
Mrs. Davis:

He'd have been a lot better off now if he'd run in the primary instead of having the party steamroll his opposition. Hell, if he couldn't beat Scranton in the Republican primary should he be sent up against Fast Eddie?
