Death Tax Traitors

As many of you know, the senate voted on permanent repeal of the Death Tax this past week. Unfortunately, a few democratic senators followed John Kerry's lead, and decided to flip-flop on this issue. Mark Pryor actually posted on his website that he favored repeal of the death tax, but he decided to vote against it. Hopefully he'll face a stiff challenge in Arkansas in 2008. Mary Landrieu who previously supported repeal, caved into Harry Reid and flip-flopped. Senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota, who voted for the Bush tax cuts in 2001 which contained a phase-out of the death tax, voted against repeal. Hopefully he'll have the same fate as another guy from South Dakota who opposed death tax repeal.

This is an issue that cross... (Below threshold)
Charles:

This is an issue that crosses party lines. I predict it will have an impact on helping get rid of some of these fill up the "hog-trough" Senate fools.

One can only hope so Charle... (Below threshold)

One can only hope so Charles, the fact this tax is still around is insane.
