I do love Texas politics and it is always good to read about the goings on here in the Lone Star state. I should say first that I am not real big on polls especially this far out, nebertheless, it might not be that far off as far as a snapshot of where we are at this moment in time.
My first take is that the share for Kinky is way high. Not as far as right now but regarding election day. Both Strayhorn and Kinky just got on the ballot through petitions and had a lot of favorable press through the last couple of weeks. This is especially true for Kinky as he had the most signatures. I think by election day, Perry will get at least 40% and probably more. He just has so much money and organization. Strayhorn is the big independent though I personally think her ability to siphon off GOP votes is overrated, though she will get some. Most of her potential votes are from Dems and indies. The big question is Bell. Can he get out of fourth place? I think so. I think he will finish in third ahead of Kinky. His main problem is money. Most of the usual Dem money is now going to Strayhorn. Of course, I hope he finishes fourth, but right now I just dont see it. I wouldn't be surprised at the end to have the dem faithful rally to Bell to avoid the total humiliation of a fourth place finish.
Everything I have said will come to pass unless it doesn't. At any rate, its going to be fun.

Yeah, but wouldn't it be something to have Kinky for Governor? Strayhorn is and should be a democrat, she's liberal in most things I've ever seen, I like Perry, but think maybe it's time for a change. It seems everyone is falling too much in love with my tax money down there, I'd like to see come serious cutting, and I think Kinky would be the better choice for that than Perry or Strayhorn. I'm tired of people pointing to unknowns, lesser knowns, and third parties and saying "You can't vote for them, why, that's just throwing away your vote!". Funny, because that's just how I feel about some of these guys in office now. Bush wasn't, and isn't, going to fix the "problem" on our border because he simply sees no problem, or a different problem. And both parties are spending like drunken sailors. Fresh blood, that's what I say, and let Kinky cut spending while he's there, or vote him out, too.
