It's exactly the kind of Washington politics "mavericks" abhor, and yet Palin not only participated fully, she lied about her reasons for doing so.

Sarah Palin's out of her league and a dangerous choice for vice president. Republican leaders have a moral obligation to speak out now and urge McCain to drop her.

This race is going to be a walk in the park for Crist. Jeb is probably going to back him up and he is pretty much squeaky clean. Gallager has a lot of baggage to overcome.

I would wonder -- since I don't live in Florida anymore, I don't know -- how long before the negative ads start making Crist vs Christ jokes about how the Republicans want everyone to be religious or somesuch.
Florida, in my opinion, is actually a rather nice microcosm of the country. There are a very few liberal areas which are heavily-populated, and a lot of conservative areas spread across the state with a lighter population density. And, just like America, for eight years a Republican has been in charge and the world hasn't ended.
