2006 Illinois Governor Race

It looks like the same problem that may cost Republicans their hard-fought victory in Kentucky after decades in the wilderness may cost Democrats their hard-fought victory in Illinois after decades in the wilderness.

I loath the Tribune registr... (Below threshold)

I loath the Tribune registration, not worth it..

I would gladly give up some... (Below threshold)
Kimyl Oh!:

I would gladly give up some measure of Democrat control in Illinois to have a clean state government operation there. I like the federal delegation, but Chicago, and to a lesser extent the statehouse are just bad. Even a proud Democrat like me holds my head in shame at the level of corruption I see there.

Imagine a world where the GOP die hards felt like holding their own to the fire, or even voiced disapproval of illegalities of the Delays, Cunninghams, and the state of Ohio GOP. We could all count on, at the very least, clean government even if we disagree with their policies....
