Ohio 18th Congressional District

Rob Ney has decided not to run for re-election. His replacement will be State Senator Joy Padgett. Padgett was Attorney General Jim Petro's running mate in the Republican primary against Ken Blackwell. She immediately becomes the favorite, and will hold this seat for the Republicans. Perhaps other Republicans need to follow her lead, such as Conrad Burns.

Glad to see that Ney droppe... (Below threshold)
BillyW:

Glad to see that Ney dropped out. I do disagree with you on Burns. I dont know if he will win or lose but at this point he is the best chance we have. After all, he has won several senatorial races and no other candidate we could put up at this point can say that. It might be tough for the GOP in Montana. All the move ins from California and Oregon are shifting things around a little.
