Incumbent Republican John Kline is opposed by former FBI Agent and certified moonbat Colleen Rowley. The race got personal earlier when the Rowley campaign photoshopped Kline's picture onto a Nazi uniform, to which the decorated Marine took strong exception.
Now it seems one of her paid campaign aides attempted to get Kline's staff to accept an illegal cash contribution in an apparent attempted "sting" operation:
The new complaint was made in a letter to Rowley from Kline volunteer Diana Bratlie, who charges that a would-be Kline campaign donor on Feb. 27 was David Bailey, now Rowley's director of "earned" (news) media.According to Bratlie, Bailey was initially rebuffed when he showed up at Kline's district office in Burnsville asking to make a cash contribution.
Bailey was reportedly directed to Kline's campaign office in the same building, where he met with Bratlie.
In her letter, Bratlie said Bailey "was clearly trying to hide his identity" and then "began to withdraw cash to make a campaign donation."
Read the Strib story HERE. One shouldn't expect any tough coverage of a raving moonbat from the Strib, though, since it is their target audience. Fortunately, Captain's Quarters is all over the story, pointing out Bailey's background and changing story HERE.
