Texas 23rd Congressional District

Ultra-radical leftwinger Ciro "the zero" Rodriguez will challenge Henry Bonilla for this seat. He has very little chance of winning, as not only is he far too liberal for this district, but he has lost 2 democratic primaries in a row againt neighboring moderate Rep Henry Cuellar. Ciro the Zero needs to understand that it's time for him to find a real job.

This is actually pretty goo... (Below threshold)
Jim Addison:

This is actually pretty good news for Bonilla. The shift in district lines brought in thousands of voters with a history of voting Democratic. If a moderate Democrat - are there any still alive now? - had opposed him, Bonilla could be in for a fight.

"Ciro the Zero" is a proven loser with an axe to grind, and as you note, he's far to the left of the district. Maybe next time around, he can move back to the neighboring district, and get the Nutroots' help in ousting Cuellar.
