2006 Maryland Governor Race (Wizbang Politics)

The same Survey USA poll also shows Bob Ehrlich continuing to trail challenger Martin O'Malley 51% to 44%. What makes this especially intriguing is that Ehrlich is very popular, with job approvals and favorables near 60%. However, O'Malley seems to generate strong support among Democrats, which makes Ehrlich's task extremely difficult.

I am not ready to write off Ehrlich, but he needs to start making progress and touting his rather successful tenure in Annapolis.
