It looks like New Jerseyans are finally developing some common sense.

Sadly, the clock to count down before the "switcherro" should be initiated. I give it until 1 October at 11:45 AM, EDT.

People in NJ have been talking about the possibility of another Torch-like "switcheroo" this year as Menendez suffers from ethical questions.
I can't remember if Torricelli was behind in polls or not at the time his ballot line was pulled in favor of Lautenberg (against any rational reading of NJ law, but approved by their Democratic courts, recalling the Dylan line, "In Jersey, anything's legal - as long as you don't get caught."), but his own ethics problems were mounting fast. Menendez has problems, but they aren't as imminent as The Torch's were.

I agree, the NJ Dems have got to be thinking it's time to switch. Or rig the voting equipment.
My husband was recently in NJ catching up with long lost cousins. He was quite surprised how many were Republicans and how few were Democrats. This is from a family that was always supportive of liberals. So perhaps there is hope after all.
