2006 Minnesota Senate Race

For the first time in what seems to be forever, a poll out tonight in Minnesota shows Republican Congressman Mark Kennedy within single digits of Amy Klobuchar, the Democratic candidate. A SurveyUSA poll has Klobuchar leading 51% to 43%. As is the case with so many Republicans this year, it isn't that Kennedy is struggling with Republicans. Is that Republicans are doing very poorly with independent voters. In the final few weeks of the campaign, the GOP needs to make a concerted push for these voters.
