2006 Rhode Island Senate and Governor Race

A new Mason-Dixon Poll in Rhode Island has Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse leading Republican incumbent Lincoln Chafee 42% to 41%. 17% remain undecided. The two candidates enjoy similar favorable ratings - 47% favorable for each.

I still rate this one a toss-up.

Meanwhile, in the Gubernatorial race, Don Carcieri has taken a huge lead over his Democratic challenger. Carcieri leads 50% to 36%. The Republican Governor enjoys a 53% favorable, 17% unfavorable rating in the Ocean State.
