Ah, Ye Olde Culture of Corruption, Vegas-style: Harry Reid hid his $1 million profit on a land sale from Congress in violation of Senate rules, John Solomon and Kathleen Hennessey of the Associated Press report:
Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid collected a $1.1 million windfall on a Las Vegas land sale even though he hadn't personally owned the property for three years, property deeds show.
In the process, Reid did not disclose to Congress an earlier sale in which he transferred his land to a company created by a friend and took a financial stake in that company, according to records and interviews. The Nevada Democrat's deal was engineered by Jay Brown, a longtime friend and former casino lawyer whose name surfaced in a major political bribery trial this summer and in other prior organized crime investigations. He's never been charged with wrongdoing -- except for a 1981 federal securities complaint that was settled out of court.

Despite the sale, Reid continued to report on his public ethics reports that he personally owned the land until it was sold again in 2004. His disclosure forms to Congress do not mention an interest in Patrick Lane or the company's role in the 2004 sale.
AP first learned of the transaction from a former Reid aide who expressed concern the deal hadn't been properly reported.

Reid has been involved in criminal real estate deals for years. His pardner is a reputed organized crime member, what does that tell you?
Socks Berger's thief of Top Secret documents is finally coming up for investigation by congress.
The democrats knew and covered up (for months) the Page scandal for political purposes. The Media is now dumping on the democrats to avoid being involved in the many criminal cases that will come in the future. Maybe they really aren't too stupid to walk and chew gum at the same time.
Lamont doesn't have much support so he's spending millions of dollars of his own money in an attempt to buy a seat in Congress.
More 'Panic' next week.

another Democratic scandal that will be gone down the memory hole in a week, lingering only on the hard drives of conservatives and on conservative blogs. Only with our liberal biased press can you see straight faced reporting on Chucky Schumer calling for strong privacy laws.

The problem with dealing with Dems caught in questionalbe ethical violations, is nothing is done ala Sandy Burglar. It takes Pubs years to defend themselves in any untoward or even toward behavior and even if innocent, they flee, resign, quit and allow the lefty Dems to chortle about a culture of corruption. Harry will not be questioned, indicted, called a crook, have to quit and it will have no impact on Nov. It would be nice to see that happen if the MSM would actually ever investigate Dem frauds, cheating, lies, ethical lapses or crooked deals. But, they will not.
