In his never-ending quest to buy a seat in the United States Senate, Ned Lamont, darling of the moonbat left, once again is finding himself short of support and money. Not much he can do about the lack of support - like the old advertising story about a new dog food: "Dogs don't like it." - but he can always solve the money problem by writing himself a large check - AGAIN. Andrew Miga of the Associated Press has the story:
Behind in the polls, Democrat Ned Lamont has given $2 million to his campaign to unseat three-term Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.
Lamont has contributed $8,751,500 of his own personal wealth to his Senate bid, including a $2 million check he wrote on Tuesday. The latest poll showed him trailing Lieberman, 48-40 percent, with Republican Alan Schlesinger at just 4 percent.
Read it all at the link above. Lieberman has apparently executed his original strategy perfectly, appealing to large numbers of Republicans and independent voters while retaining a sizable minority of Democrats. Having a moron for an opponent probably hasn't hurt, either.

Anyone know how much Leiberman has spent - and how much the GOP has spent on Leiberman's behalf?

How much a party has spent is not the question. The party has spent on Lamont also. How much a man is willing to spend of 'his own money' to buy a Senate Seat is the question. Over 8 big ones show quite an ego problem.

Since when is a man who has actually succeeded in the private sector instead of slurping at the public trough for his whole career a moron? Since when has the Republican party morphed into the old Democratic party?
I'm also impressed by the junior-league psychoanalysis. Whatever Lamont spends, he will have more left over than 99.99% of the population will ever manage to earn.

I am constantly amused at the moonbats who are horrified at the thought of individuals being able to donate more than $2000 to a federal campaign, but who have no problem with some rich guy trying to buy a Senate seat.
After I stop laughing, I want to slap both their faces.
