First, the good news: the puppy killer has been apprehended, according to the Star-Tribune:
St. Paul authorities want to question a Richfield man arrested in Milwaukee on Tuesday about whether he snapped the necks of 10 puppies in St. Paul in August while neighbors watched.
The 19-year-old had been wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections for skipping out on a house arrest, part of his sentence for a 2004 shooting in Hennepin County. He had been on the loose at the time of the Aug. 1 incident in St. Paul, in which a man killed the puppies and tossed them in a trash bin, apparently as a threat against his girlfriend.
The rest is at the link above. Wow, the guy was on house arrest for a shooting? That's shameful . . . and those poor puppies had to die for it.
Say, "Hennepin County" . . . where have I heard THAT before? Hmmm . . . maybe I should check with Jim Geraghty of NRO:
But it's an interesting bunch of candidates the Democrats are running this year. Like in that Minnesota Senate race, the Hennepin County prosecutor.
See, a young man had shot someone back in 2004; the fellow got less than two years behind bars and then house arrest. He skipped out on it - shockingly - then went out and snapped the necks of ten puppies in St. Paul while his neighbors watched. After slamming their bodies against the pavement, he tossed the dead puppies into a trash bin. Then he threatened to do the same to his girlfriend.Who dropped the ball by giving the guy such a light sentence and house arrest, when he clearly was a danger to others? Who can the public hold accountable?
Read his whole post at the above link, including the "mission statement." Of course - the "Hennepin County prosecutor" who is charged with protecting the public but who let this guy off with "house arrest" is none other Amy Klobuchar, Democratic nominee for Senate.
Why would anyone vote to promote HER when she obviously can't even do the job she has NOW?
