2006 Illinois Governor Race

Judy Baar Topinka may now have a shot at winning the Gubernatorial race in Illinois as a series of scandals has hit the administration of Democratic incumbent Rod Blagojevich. Of course, theoretically, this should doom the Democrat. However, as we have seen in New Jersey, voters will vote for someone they know is corrupt.

Topinka has a good shot at winning. Indeed, given the fact that the DeVos campaign has not been doing well recently and is now trailing by the high single digits, she may have the better shot. Republicans need to focus though on Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Scrapiron:

Funny how many really criminal democ'rats there are, but they just can't seem to make the news. Wonder why? No bias in the news, they said so.

I noted the Rezko case earlier, but had no idea the guy wouldn't show up for court!

Amazing . . . did he head for the Bahamas? Or is he sleeping with the fishes?

This business is all over C... (Below threshold)
Kay:

This business is all over Chicago talk radio and the local papers, yes even the Tribune who is reporting quite a bit on Rezko/Rod/Patti.

Am sure the Governor will win though as we have many dems that vote the party.

Have not heard a word on any of the major MSMs about the IL problems, but FoxNews is talking about Harry The Body Reid this morning and more than in passing.
