Maybe, says Robert Novak:
Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner's decision to withdraw from consideration for the 2008 presidential nomination has produced speculation at high levels of the Democratic Party that former Vice President Al Gore may run again.
Warner was to challenge front-running Sen. Hillary Clinton from the right, while Gore is on her left. Nevertheless, Gore succeeds Warner as the most likely "non-Hillary" to battle her for the nomination.

Gore could be a viable candidate. Not only has he kept in touch with his old backers, but, by virtue of his service on the boards of Google and several other successful tech firms, he has become wealthy as his portfolio soared. He could self-finance a first-class campaign if he chose.
Gore would be starting to the left of Hilarity! in the race, but with the left completely disaffected by her support of the Iraq War, she truly represents the "right" of the Democratic Party of the known contenders. Of potential others, only Bill Richardson might be considered to her right, as Evan Bayh has spent the last two years sidling left as fast as he can.
Gore's main opposition on the left might come from Feingold, who is beloved by the moonbats. This might not work out so badly for Gore, though, if he can position himself as the reasonable liberal alternative between Feingold and Hilarity!, "triangulating" them after a fashion.
Say, I remember another guy who lost a razor-close election. Everybody wrote him off, but eight years later he came back and won. Oddly enough, he had also served as Vice President under a two-term President.
Like Nixon forty years ago, Gore is "tanned, rested, and ready!"
Excuse me, I think I'm going to throw up. Talk amongst yourselves.

That Hil is running was obvious in her debate with Spencer last night. Morris made such an observation in his recent column. It is no secret and Gore will be the so called moderate choice unless Feingold or Biden actually get some tread. Still, when one thinks about this, could anyone of these elitist leftist pacifist socialists win one Red State?? If so, would the Pub candidate if it were Rudy win a Blue State??? And what if Rudy had a conserv Pub as Veep? Say Newt or Frist or even Mitt? Could they take some more Blue States? Why this fear of Hil? She is an evil twin from the evil Queens of old such as those who fouled up the Roman Empire as did the loony and inquitous wife of Claudius!! LOL
