Thanks to Lurch

It's Halloween, and Lurch, I mean, John F. Kerry, has struck again.

Last night, in California, Kerry said that students should study hard or they will end up in Iraq. In other words, those serving in the American military did not do well academically.

Today, incredibly, Kerry refused to retract the remarks. Instead he stood by them in a press conference and then proceeded to melt down in front of the cameras, calling Republicans "assorted right-wing nutjobs." He even came up with the far-fetched explanation that it was a joke on Bush not studying on Iraq. (If that is the best explanation he can come up with, then he must think all Americans are morons. The truth of course is that he is an utter moron.)

Thanks John. You've given us something to run with in the last week.

Unlike Pelosi, Kerry is someone Americans recognize. Republicans in every district and every state need to make this moron and his comments an albatross around the neck of every Democrat.

And that means starting...NOW.

And if George Allen's campaign is reading this, cut an ad of Webb appearing with Kerry at a rally. Stop talking about novels. Start talking about supporting the military.

Alex,

Now I've seen the quote but haven't seen the preceding and following context. I'm sure you have so could you please post it here.

Kerry is all over the internet with the video which contradicts his own news conference. In fact you can watch the news conference and then the speech. What a liar. What a moron. What planet do these people live on? Pelosi is hiding out, maybe they should keep Kerry hidden away also. Amazingly (or not) CNN does not seem to be aware of "THE" political story today. CNN - credibility, NOT.

Um..dude, despite what FOX News misinterpreted the comment as, he was referring to President Bush's poor preparation for the war, not the lack of education of members of the U.S. military.

Mark:

Elitist Kerry was showing disdain for the American fighting men and women and no Democrat spin can hide the Democrats hatred for the people who are keeping us safe.

Kerry was caught saying what he truly believes and now has to hide it in a web of lies.

What a hero. If you believe his excuses, you are deceiving yourself. But that is par for the course with his crowd..

IF he honestly misspoke, he should have simply apologized immediately. He did not.

You can believe his explanation if you want to. You probably believed the "magic CIA hat" one and "Christmas in Cambodia," too.

muirego ~ I understand that, as a leftist, you are extremely lazy and stupid and incapable of doing anything for yourself, and so must rely on the more productive members of society to do everything for you. But Alex is too high up the totem pole here for it be his job. I'm not sure whose job it is, but I'll find out. You stay right here and hold your breath, and I'll be right back.

John Kerry's comment denigrating our military ** one week ** before an election is, without a doubt, the single biggest blunder I have ever witnessed in politics - bar none!! He just single-handedly lost the election for the Democrats...

Michael...you should follow sKerry around and interpret for him!! a sample scenario:

Kerry: "F**K You moronic Jarheads!"
Michael: "The Senator would like to thank the Marines for their service"
Kerry: "and F**K the Army too!"
Michael: "The Senator also recognizes the wonderful prowess of our oldest branch of service"

and so on...

Give him a call, Michael, the boyo NEEDS you!!

That way, you won't embarress yourself like Kerry did.

Slandered every Vietnam vet in the halls of congress with his lies.

Slandered every member of the military that has served since 2001 by calling them stupid twits.

What part of Hanoi John's continued hate for members of the military that have completed (or will complete) their mission do you not understand. He hates the military because he cut and ran in less than four months of his 12 month tour of Vietnam, immediately after writing himself up for some hero medals. It was the 'getting caught' in his lies that turned him from a coward and traitor to a hate filled idiot. Next I expect to hear a scream 'I'm John Freekin Kerry' an elitest of the world and you can't tell me what to do. You know like a spoiled 3 year old brat.
Are the 'I married rich' allowed to lie without question?

Sometimes you don't say what you want to say, but you almost always accidently say what you are thinking. Quite a difference if you are historically a 'liar' like Hanoi John.

The big winner here is Tere... (Below threshold)

The big winner here is Teresa Heinz-Kerry-Heinz, who is now looking at saving the money Kerry would have frittered away on another hapless run for the White House.

An odd midterm indeed. First, Allen ruins his '08 hopes with a single word, then Mark Warner drops out for cryptic reasons, and now Kerry torpedoes his own with a couple of sentences.

On the other hand, Guiliani has marginally improved his own prospects. Romney was probably close to the same before the kerfluffle over LDS Church help for his campaign. McCain has raised his own stock steadily.

On the Democratic side, Hilarity! has quietly raised a lot of money for Democratic candidates and state parties, earning chits. The Warner withdrawal and the Kerry implosion make her the likely beneficiary of momentum for '08.

Kerry is a total moron and is further evidenct to GET OUT THE VOTE so that these people have nothing to do with leading our military.
