Another Untold Story

For once, the Washington Post has a story that is favorable to the President. Under George W. Bush, United States spending to Africa has tripled, from 3 to 9 billion.

Even Donald Payne, a Democratic Congressman from New Jersey, said that "When the Bush administration came in, HIV and AIDS were not an overwhelming priority. Now we have seen a total metamorphosis."

High and low approval ratings are temporary. The judgment of history is final, and George W. Bush can be confident in its verdict.

Amazing! The only way Pres.... (Below threshold)

Amazing! The only way Pres. Bush can get any praise from the press is to give away American tax payers dollars. At the same time we are giving 9 billion dollars to Africa we have children with inadequate health care. Go figure!

'maybe' children have inade... (Below threshold)
ba:

'maybe' children have inadequate health care in our nation, because children are being raised by single mothers (lack of commitment to family thing), maybe health care is lacking in some homes because parents are not skilled enough to work jobs which offer such benefit, maybe parents are do not want to work the hours to buy the health care themselves, (believing it's up to Uncle Sam to provide for what they as independent adults can supply themselves)

Maybe fixing a health crisis over there, will prevent the crisis from spreading to here.

maybe.
