Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado is the latest entrant into a growing field of candidates for the Presidency in 2008. From the Associated Press:
Colorado Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo, an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration, said Tuesday he will form an exploratory committee for a possible presidential campaign.

Tancredo is the prototypical "single issue" candidate. He hopes to fan resentment over illegal immigration into a successful campaign. He shares a near-total lack of administrative experience with most of the other declared candidates, but such niceties as qualifications tend to mean less to such "Johnny-one-note" crusades.

At least he won't be able to screw up the GOP's chances of holding the Colorado Senate seat.

The Republicans need a strong pro-immigrant leader for 2008 and expel the Tancredo's of the world to form their own party.
