Elizabeth Taylor Endorses Hillary

Drudge had a link to this and I just couldn't resist:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hollywood may be debating who to support in the 2008 presidential election, but Dame Elizabeth Taylor already has her woman -- Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In a statement on Thursday, the actress said, "I have contributed to Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign because she has a mind of her own and a very strong one at that. I like the way she thinks. She is very savvy and a smart leader with years of experience in government, diplomacy and politics."

A spokesman for the 74-year-old actress said she had contributed $2,100 to the New York Democratic senator, the legal limit an individual can give in a primary campaign. Earlier the spokesman had said Taylor gave $100,000, but said that was an incorrect figure based on misinformation.

She also supported Michael Jackson, who she believed was absolutely innocent.

Wethal:

She's such a fine judge of character. Now how many husbands has she had?

Does that mean $2100 legall... (Below threshold)
Scrapiron:

Does that mean $2100 legally and $97,900 Illegally? That would even her out with the other holywood wonks. Never mind, I haven't been to one of their movies, bought a DVD or CD in almost three years. Will start when some new companies that have leaders with a brain and actors/actresses that can figure out how to get out of a dark room with an open door and lights on in the adjoining room.

Ah, yes . . . "Cat on a Hot... (Below threshold)

Ah, yes . . . "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" was on the other day . . . Liz is a remarkable woman. Pity I was born too late, else I might have spared her the wasted years with reprobates like Burton, Hilton, and Warner.

Of course, I would pay no more attention to her political opinions than I do the Wal-Mart cashier's, and probably less.
