2007 Kentucky Governor Race (Wizbang Politics)

According a SurveyUSA poll, former Congresswoman Anne Northup narrowly trails incumbent Republican Governor Ernie Fletcher in the Republican primary. However, with the incumbent mired at 33%, it should not be too difficult for Northup to defeat him. While I am unwilling to call any Republican a frontrunner in the wake of 2006, Northup would be a tall order for any Democrat to beat, given her residual popularity in Jefferson County.
