Industry PAC cash up 17% in 2006 cycle

Industry PACs increased their political donations by 17% over the Presidential year cycle of 2003-04, according to Political MoneyLine Staff at CQ Politics:

Political action committees of industry groups gave $311 million to federal candidates in the 2005-2006 cycle, up $45 million (17 percent) from the 2003-2004 cycle. This total does not include contributions made by or received by politicians' PACs, or ideological PACs.

The industry breakdown and links to full details are at the above link.

Fresh from his rousing success at "getting the money out of politics," John McCain now seeks the Presidency. What will he do next, save the Unicorns?
