Florida 19th CD - Wexler attracts primary challenge for '08

Democratic Florida Congressman Robert Wexler (As Seen On TV!™) will have opposition in the Democratic primary for his seat next year. Former Broward County Commissioner Ben Graber says he will run - based on Wexler's position on Iraq. Graber was against the war (which Wexler voted for) but strongly opposes Wexler's current cut-'n'-run-like-a-scared-hen position. Interesting . . . The Florida Masochist brings us the report from the Palm Beach Post:

Democrat Ben Graber, a former Broward County commissioner and state House member, announced Monday that he'll challenge six-term U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Delray Beach, in a primary next year.

Graber has been considering a Wexler challenge for months. He also flirted briefly with the idea of switching parties and running as a Republican against U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton.
