The latest CNN Opinion Research Corporation telephone poll of Republicans and Republican-leading independents show Giuliani with a slim lead over McCain, within the margin of error of 5%, as reported by CNN:

The small sample is worthy of note, since its margin of error could conceivably mean the actual support is pretty close to what other recent polls have found. Essentially, this poll found Giuliani a little weaker than the others, and McCain somewhat stronger, with the rest roughly the same. This could reflect a shift following McCain's superior performance in last week's debate, but shows no such bump for Romney, thought by most to have been as strong or stronger than McCain. OR it could simply show the statistical variance one expects with a smaller sample/larger MOE.
