Gore "fallen out of love with politics"

Al Gore says he has "fallen out of love with politics" and can't envision running for President, although he won't rule it out completely. In an interview with Time Magazine, he professes his love for building a "consensus" on climate change, according to Reuters:

"And I'm not convinced the presidency is the highest and best role I could play."

He added, "It would take a lot to disabuse me of the notion that my highest and best use is to keep building that consensus."

Asked what it would take for him to run, Gore said, "I can't say because I'm not looking for it. But I guess I would know it if I saw it. I haven't ruled it out. But I don't think it's likely to happen."

Read the whole story at the above link. Of course Gore won't "take a Sherman" (after former General William Tecumseh Sherman, who ended the movement to draft him for the GOP nomination in 1884 with the flat "If nominated I will not run; if elected I will not serve."), because in some corner of his mind he can imagine the Democratic Convention deadlocked and turning to him, and who could blame him? Their field isn't exactly brimming with inspiring and experienced candidates.

On balance, though, I take him at his word. Gore made a fortune on Google and other Tech options after leaving office, and doesn't need the aggravations. The word on him many years ago was that he lacked the "fire in the belly" type of ambition needed to run successfully, and had only run in 1988 because his father expected it.

One of the keys the Pundits posited worth watching as an indicator of whether Gore would run is his weight. The presumption is he would attempt to slim down if he were seriously contemplating reentering politics.

Of course, he might just be purchasing "fat offsets" to reduce his "blubber footprint."

It's not just the money he's made on the options.

Think of the money Gore has made on the glogal warming fraud. Millions on books and the "movie". Speaking fees....let's say $50k per at 50 per year....plus free executive travel around the globe.... Never mind generating demand for "eco friendly" projects that his fund invests in...

His ponzi scheme is too profitable to give up
