Stossel explodes most of th... (Below threshold)

Stossel explodes most of the ethanol myths right there. He could add, "If ethanol is so great, why do we prevent ethanol made from sugar cane from entering the country?"

It's nothing more than a stick-up of taxpayers on behalf of ADM and the corn belt people who earn a living from them or doing business with them.

It seems to me - and I'm sure Pat Hynes will correct me if I'm wrong - that Senator McCain used to oppose ethanol on principle, and his refusal to budge on that principle (that the truth should matter) was one factor which led him to skip Iowa in the 2000 GOP Primary campaign.
