Only weeks after "resigning" as the "face of the peace movement," Cindy Sheehan now says she will run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her San Francisco House seat - UNLESS Pelosi introduces Articles of Impeachment against President Bush within the next two weeks. Angela K. Brown reports for the Associated Press:
Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.
"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."
The full report is at the link above. Many of us suspected our dear "Mother Sheehan" couldn't bear to be out of the spotlight very long. I doubt even the moonbats in Frisco would throw out a sitting Speaker as a protest, but I long ago ceased ruling out any foolish actions by their ilk.
Perhaps one day the Democrats will regret welcoming the anti-American radical left into their party with open arms.

While I am not a big fan of Ms. Sheehan's brand of political purity, this is laughable.
"Perhaps one day the Democrats will regret welcoming the anti-American radical left into their party with open arms."
Ms. Sheehan is in the position she is in because she lost her son in Iraq. What would you have the Democrats do? Shoot her? She's not a spokesperson for the Democrats. But really, with all the problems Republicans have,
you would do well to take a look inside your own glass house before starting any rock fights.

So, until the GOP is perfect, I shouldn't comment on Democratic problems?
Thanks, nick, I'll remember that . . . no, I won't. I'll forget it along most of the other nonsense leftists post here.
It wasn't me who dragged Mother Sheehan into the spotlight, or who dragged her back after she "resigned" from the peace movement. She did that all on her own. She's an attention whore.
