The latest CBS News Poll shows Hillary Clinton with a 20-point lead over Barack Obama, and that Obama's inexperience hurt his chances. From CBS News:
Sen. Barack Obama's perceived lack of experience may be a huge obstacle to his chances of winning the Democratic presidential nomination, according to a CBS News poll released Wednesday. While Obama is seen as the candidate offering fresh new ideas, Sen. Hillary Clinton is seen as the one with the right experience to be president.

On the experience question (asked of all registered voters), Hillary is seen as having the "right experience to be President" by a 59%-35% margin, while Obama fails the test with only 29% agreeing he is sufficiently experienced, as a narrow majority of 51% believe he is not.
Clinton also enjoys a substantial lead on the electability question, although Obama widely outscores her on being willing to try new ideas to solve problems.
Among Democratic primary voters, Clinton leads Obama with 45% to his 25%, and Edwards trails with 14% support. The old "conventional wisdom" is that, in multi-candidate fields, if the frontrunner can command over 40% support he or she becomes virtually unbeatable.

The Clinton machine can keep anyone else from developing a following and Markos can keep Clinton from appealing broadly. Miz Clinton will have her Sistah Markos moment, but it won't change her negatives, and further exposure will only worsen them.
With any luck the extreme left will get so howling mad the election season will be entertaining.
It is not a good day to be a Democrat.
