In word and deed, few elected officials have demonstrated the mental deterioration of Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.). Over the years, he has continually acted and spoken irrationally. More of the same from Extreme Mortman:
Today's Washington Post chronicles Rep. Jim Moran's (D-VA) latest pilgrimage to the anti-Semitic side of town:In an interview with Tikkun, a California-based Jewish magazine, Moran said the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is "the most powerful lobby and has pushed this war from the beginning. I don't think they represent the mainstream of American Jewish thinking at all, but because they are so well organized, and their members are extraordinarily powerful -- most of them are quite wealthy -- they have been able to exert power."And:
AIPAC "members are willing to be very generous with their personal wealth. But it's a two-edged sword. If you cross AIPAC, AIPAC is unforgiving and will destroy you politically. Their means of communications, their ties to certain newspapers and magazines, and to individuals in the media are substantial and intimidating."Ronald Halber, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, responds thusly to Moran's track record: "There are only so many mistakes he can make before it's fair to call him an anti-Semite."
Read it all and access the embedded links at the link above. Moran's antics won't cost him his seat, of course. He's already on the list of reprehensible Representatives, but his constituents are apparently as raving mad as he is. A couple of years ago, the guy grabs an eight year-old black kid by the throat in a parking lot - the kid was looking at his car. Looking. If Moran were a Republican, he would be out on his keister in a minute. As a Democrat, he can get away with a warning for blatant antisemitism - over and over and over again.

What did he say again?
AIPAC? They'll be in federal court for espianage in the coming months (the Franklin thing). He could have rode that, but he didn't.
AIPAC is what AIPAC is: not an Israeli lobby, but an ultra-right Likud Party lobby and Likud has Bush by the short hairs as that's that.
But calling Moran anti-semitic for not kowtowing to a certain party that most Jews can't stomach, is to devalue the word's currency, ergo:
Moran and Hitler. I think some holocaust survivors might quibble with the comparison as humanizing Hitler.
Anyway, to show what a black hole the over-use of "anti-semitism" creates, check out this site: http://www.masada2000.org/list-A.html
Full of Jewish "anti-semites", says they.
Bonus death porn on the main page!
Impalings, beheadings, etc.

If I ever visit Moron's district i'll be sure and not drink the water. He's not the only Moron, someone voted for him and they join him in the mental illness (BDS) realm of moonbats. I do live in Va and we now have some of the most Moronic rep's and senators in the history of the state. Webb (all women are thunder theighs) and Moron (Terrorist supporter and just a plain old idiot) make you want to puke. They are in the company of two dimwit governors that's only knowledge is tax and steal. Now they are running a nutty X governor for the Senate. People sure are easy to buy in the state of Va, but getting rid of Mr Liz Taylor Warner is a + either way.
