While a three-way fight shapes up for the Democratic nomination in Iowa, the nation's first primary state, New Hampshire, leans heavily towards Senator Hillary Clinton, a new poll confirms. The Reuters report:
In a poll by Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, 41 percent of likely Democratic voters support Clinton followed by 20 percent for Obama, a first-term senator from Illinois. Former Sen. John Edwards was third with 11 percent.
Read the whole story at the link above. In fact, Clinton has registered a lead of 20% or more in three of the six polls prior to this one, so it is hardly a fluke. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls shows her with an average margin of 19.8% - and this is before the Marist result is added in.
Clinton enjoys an even greater lead in polls of Florida, and a double-digit advantage in South Carolina, too. It seems clear the only chance Obama or Edwards have of derailing her juggernaut is to beat her in Iowa, where all three "top tier" candidates are in contention.
The conventional political wisdom - or wishful thinking - goes, "If Hillary loses Iowa, her lukewarm support in other early states will peel off like Britney's clothes. Her candidacy relies upon an aura of invincibility which doesn't allow for losses."
Maybe; maybe not. One thing is apparent, though: if someone doesn't beat her in Iowa, all the rest of the field will see of her from then on is . . . taillights - gradually vanishing into the horizon.

This polity is bigger than the Clintons' ability to criminalize it. Someone, or something, is going to be courageous enough to slay the dragon.
er, at least chase it back to its lair in the Middle Kingdom.

...and about links: try it! you'll like it!...
Re: Cost. See RCP and Politico. They are 100% MSM. Politico is a TimeInc product. And Time SUX!!! And speaking of "sux", look at Mike Allen's mouth parts! A slavonic wench with that ingress would provide wergeld enough for the Manson Family!
RCP is better than Politico, but my considered lumping of them together should be cautionary!
Now, lewrockwell.com kicks ass. And the "blog" entries (to the right) are constantly scrolling hour by hour (OR 3), and are anything BUT MSM!
In other words, efficacious for political IQ points and being an insufferable Know-it-all. Sloe-eyed nymphs are attracted to such. Darwin or Destiny...who cares. WOO-HOO!
