Dino Rossi, who many felt was robbed of the 2004 gubernatorial election in Washington, is going to run again, reports David Ammons for the Associated Press:
Republican Dino Rossi, who lost the closest race for governor in U.S. history in 2004, said Thursday he'll seek a rematch with Washington Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire next year.* * * * *
Rossi, 48, prevailed in the first two vote counts in the November 2004 election, only to lose in a hand recount by 129 votes. He later lost a court challenge aimed at forcing a fresh election. Gregoire's winning margin was the smallest in percentage terms of any governor's race in the nation's history.

At the risk of inciting the already paranoid, I note in passing that one of the main reasons for moving to electronic voting in the first place was the notorious inaccuracy of "hand counting" of paper ballots. Hand-counted ballots never come up with the same total twice - irrespective of subjective concerns like "hanging chads" - because people counting by hand just aren't that accurate and never have been.
Needless to say, it's also far easier to "stuff" a box of paper ballots than to screw with machine-read totals.

I watched the Shark take huge chunks out of the fraudulent Democratic machine in Seattle. I saw a chief executive take a bad hit at least partly because he tried to clean up the mess in Washington State. History will not be kind to the Democrats.

When Rossi sets up a website, I and I pray, thousands of conservatives, will support him against the socialist Dem there.

who many felt was robbed of the 2004 gubernatorial election in Washington...
Felt? No, no, my friend. Rossi WAS robbed. Finding ballots stuffed into the side pockets and in back of ballot machines, and also in ubiquitous gov't warehouses is more than a little suspicious. ;-)
Anyway, I really hope Rossi finds a decent platform to run on (i.e., revamping our punishing taxes on businesses here in WA) rather than his stated "fiscal conservative" platform. It's good, but not very engaging to the common voter. And honestly, I think the bitterness of 2004 is largely forgotten by WA voters. But we shall see, right?
I'm excited! Rossi is STILL a really good GOP candidate.
