When a campaign contribution is received from a donor tainted by controversy, the usual practice is to return it, or donate it to charity. Ron Paul is no usual politician, though. He is keeping the $500 donation from a white supremacist who operates a radical website, as Brian Skoloff reports for the Associated Press:
Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."
Read the rest at the link above. The Paul campaign suggests he will put the money to better use than Black would if it were returned, and Black acknowledges he knows Paul doesn't share his views on race.
Paul posed for a picture with Black and his son, a copy of which was found on the "Stormfront" website and has been published at Little Green Footballs.
Most candidates are careful about those with whom they pose for pictures these days, as previous photos with dubious donors have embarrassed politicians from both parties in the recent past.
LGF provides evidence Black is not the only extremist with whom Dr. Paul breaks bread, as well. From the website of the American National Socialist Workers Party, via LGF:
Comrades:I have kept quiet about the Ron Paul campaign for a while, because I didn't see any need to say anything that would cause any trouble. However, reading the latest release from his campaign spokesman, I am compelled to tell the truth about Ron Paul's extensive involvement in white nationalism.
Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays. This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.
The preceding link has the whole story, including links to information corroborating the neo-Nazi's claim that "Ron Paul is one of us."

Bill White is a known liar and attention-whore.
It simply boild down to three things:
1. If you want to give the campaign your money, they'll take it.
2. Ron will pose for a picture with anyone who will ask.
3. Ron refuses to play the insincere and hypocritical political "game". You know darned well that every campaign who has received a donation from an undesirable person would prefer to keep every penny instead of returning it. Ron Paul is just more honest about it.
The ONLY reason this is an issue is because Ron Paul's policies threaten those Americans who like to suck off the government teat and since they can't debate him on the issues, they desperately try to smear him instead.
This whole issue has only solidified my support for Ron Paul. The disgusting political smear machine MUST be destroyed, no matter who it is aimed at.

You support an unconstitutional war that has killed a million innocent people. You support censorship and torture and suspension of civil rights. You use the Federal Reserve system to inflate the currency and rob American workers of their savings. Who are you calling a fascist, Fascist?
But if you contribute $500 to Ron Paul, the web server at his campaign site will be sure to thank you.

Thanks for the info. Jim. Paul is nutty and dangerous. Guess this helps explain some of his comments on Israel.

Must be nice to have a card blanche from the Media because your anti Iraq War and pro "blame America".
But I think Paul's usefulness has passed. Huckabee is the media spoiler of the moment. Won't be long before we're all reminded Paul is a Republican so they can use these relationships to broad brush all Republicans.

Remember now, the media is not laughing with Paul, they are making fun of him and laughing their a** off at him. Even the retarded media types reconize a joke when they see one over and over. Someone in Tx had a real sense of humor sending him to congress, maybe to get him out of town. I think we need a Paul/Kucinich ticket so the world can have a laugh. Shrillary can be their criminal lawyer and I don't mean defense lawyer.

The founding fathers had slaves. Ron Paul wants to bring back the gold standard AND slavery. :)
Every candidate has questionable people that support them, Ron Paul doesn't bother me as much as his supporters do, they are the truly crazy ones.

You know it's funny to see how so many people have bunched their panties in a knot over what
the media would have you believe is the most important $500 ever spent! What's even funnier
in a manically ironic sort of way is the fact that while many of you accuse Ron Paul of being a Nazi sympathizer, most of the candidates you support are practicing REAL fascism via their
commitment to things such as the U.S.A. Patriot act,The Real I.D. card, selling us out to the Committee on Foreign relations,E.T.C.
At least Ron has the courage to stand right up and admit where his money comes from!I suppose there is nothing at all fascistic about all of the secret deals that people like Clinton and Huckabee make with defense contractors, oil giants and the media is there?
Face it kids,we live in a pluralistic society
where sometimes the views of those on the extreme follow the agenda of those who are sincere patriots like Dr Paul.Politics makes strange bedfellows,so grow the hell up and get used to it.
