John McCain has taken the lead in Rudy Giuliani's home state of New York, which votes on Super Tuesday, according to Datamar:
A poll released today by Datamar Inc., shows U.S. Senator from Arizona John McCain in the lead with 28.7%, in the New York Republican Presidential Primary. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani dropped to second place with 22.9%. Former Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney is in third place with 15.6%. Former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee, has moved to fourthplace with 9.6%.
They also show Fred Thompson with 4.8%, and 12.8% undecided in their poll of 603 Republican "voters" - the full results in -.pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format is here. They use a combination of automated phone-calling and internet polling of selected respondents, which they then "weight" by age, sex, and affiliation as necessary. It's hard to critique a proprietary methodology that remains undisclosed, but they claim accurate results in the past and back it up with examples. However, I have no way of knowing if the examples are typical or not.
