Barack Obama is part of the brotherhood of Jeep drivers across the U.S., and was known for driving himself to many of his early campaign events in his own Jeep. While fellow Jeep drivers hardly have same brotherhood as motorcyclists...

It makes political and demographic sense for McCain to choose her. Of course, the fact that she has been a spectacular failure as Bush's National Security Advisor--ignored Al Queda before 9/11 and advised Bush to launch the Iraq war will be no deterrence plus,
All this will be no impediment to McCain who won't let her attractiveness deter him either. She is as everyone knows is a team player and can be counted on do a president's bidding.

Condoleezza Rice has been a great dissapointment
as sec. of state. As matter of fact some of her
actions have been down right insane.
Being a weak secretary of state discourages one
from believing she has the makings and spine
to be leader of this country.
That there is down right scary!

Condi represented the Chevron arm of US consortium in business negotiations with the Taliban for partnership in a crucial leg of the proposed Caspian Sea Basin oil and gas pipeline. (A power play against Russian interests in the Caucausus) Things went well for a time and Condi was honored to have a Chevron oil tanker named for her.
When negotiations broke down eventually (in Sugar Land, TX meeting), the Taliban were branded a terroristic organization so as to grease the skids for a US sanctioned seizure of Taliban capital assets (real estate) in Afghanistan.
It was in preparation for this that the CIA encourage Bin Laden to move his HQ from Sudan to PAKISTAN (close-in but safe!) to gild the lilly, so to speak, since he had a well-known Afghan War connection (plausibility). Also at this time, the US developed a speedline process (no interviews) for travel from Saudi Arabia to the US. Thus Atta and others were soon at Maxwell AFB and the International Officers School doing Whoknowswhat.
Also, during this time frame, Marvin Bush formerly ended his association as a principle at Securacom, the security service for the World Trade Center. And Jeb Bush declared martial law in Florida. And Condi ran interference for the whole operation.
So IT has always been about Oil as the means to ultimate power. And Condi (despite the hastily applied academic patina) is an old oil company apparatchik.
If McCain wishes to tweak his resume for the civilian energy sector, naming Condi might get him brownie points.

Only the liberals who fear a real competition with McCain/Condi ticket are now trying to drag her down with nasty remarks and smearing her. She needs to keep her head and not be swaying by all the attacks from the left-wingers and Democrats.
No one else will unite the Republicans and conservatives behind McCain better than Condi as VP. So it obvious that the negative comments posted here are just a sample of all the garbage the Democrats will be throwing againt them.
