Live by the sword, die by the sword.
The latest from the Globa and Mail is that the Clinton campaign contacted their Canadian allies to tell them her rhetoric on NAFTA was just political posturing:
Mr. Brodie, during the media lockup for the Feb. 26 budget, stopped to chat with several journalists, and was surrounded by a group from CTV.The conversation turned to the pledges to renegotiate the North American free-trade agreement made by the two Democratic contenders, Mr. Obama and New York Senator Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Brodie, apparently seeking to play down the potential impact on Canada, told the reporters the threat was not serious, and that someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign had even contacted Canadian diplomats to tell them not to worry because the NAFTA threats were mostly political posturing.
The Canadian Press cited an unnamed source last night as saying that several people overheard the remark.
The news agency quoted that source as saying that Mr. Brodie said that someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign called and was "telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt."
Now the questions begin. Who in the Clinton campaign contacted the Canadians? When was the contact made? Did Hillary know about this contact and approve the content of the message? As the NAFTA-gate scandal erupted why didn't she come forth and explain to the voters of Ohio and Texas that her staff had contacted the Canadians? Is her rhetoric about NAFTA genuine and does she in fact intend to renegotiate key aspects of the agreement?
We're waiting...
Update: The CBC is reporting that the Canadian government has now repudiated the Obama memo saying that it created a "false picture" of his positions. Check out the video but be warned it's a WMV file. The Canadians have a lot of questions to answer about this whole incident too.

So Obama is trying to out-Clinton the Clintons. Good luck. HRC would have left no tracks. Just an overheard conversation. Easy counter attack. Good luck.

I thought the Obambies were pacifists??? Oh, that's right, this week Barack declared he was gunning for Hill, lol. Next week he'll waffle in a differnt direction, and declare the fighting is emblematic of the old school and old way of politics -- unless the exact opposite serves his purpose du jour.
Amazing how easily he's knocked off message, and put into defensive mode. Hillary's manipulation of Obambi is shameful, but he's got to learn someday.
But Ohh baby, Die by the Sword! You've got the Clintons on the run now... and There will be Blood!
LMAO!
It took Barack days to figure out what was going on when ObamaGate hit the fan - and meanwhile he fumbled about and lied to the press - and ended up losing Texas in large part because hit took him days to get good information - heck, I hope there is a "hold" button on the red phone while Obambi figures out which end is up...
But there Will be Clinton blood flowing soon! Buhhhwwahaaha! (cough cough)

We're just getting warmed up. There's so much stuff out there on the Clintons it's amazing. Just do a Google search. It's going to take me weeks to sort through it all.
And I've even found a video of a toothless lesbian prostitue who says she had sex with Hillary!
BWAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

Let's hope SNL covers this story on Saturday, so the 'American' mainstream media might be tempted. Hillary won exactly what in Texas? Obama will won the majority of delgates. Oh yeah, Clinton won the 'non-bragging' rights.

Impressive fundraising!
Of course, Obama spent a lot trying to knock Hillary out in Texas and Ohio . . . but maybe he will spend the next millions more effectively.
I like the "going negative" idea, but then I've always been a fan of "comparative advertising" in politics and never bought into the whole "new kind of politics" mumbo jumbo. It all seems to be changing . . . gone are the mega-Messiah rallies with the halo of light around Obama's head and the lofty, if empty, rhetoric. Now he's taking questions at townhall meetings (from sympathetic voters, of course, not mean old reporters with their rude questions and hurtful follow-ups) instead, and the long knives, we are told, are about to come out.
I would caution the Obamaniacs that challenging Hillary to get down and dirty with no holds barred is sort of like challenging Tiger Woods to a golf match, but . . .

NAFTA has been a fact for over a decade. Step 2, the Security and Prosperity Partnership is the salient issue. NAFTA on steroids, they say. And every candidate has been flashing SPP gang signs; inscrutable(at best) to Joe Sixpack, reassuring to the establishment.
Obama's latest Dallas Morning News editorial:
"Under George W. Bush, the United States has not lived up to its historic role as a leader in the Western Hemisphere. As president, I will restore that leadership by working to advance the common PROSPERITY and SECURITY of all of the people of the Americas. That work must begin with a renewed strategic partnership with Mexico."
McCain in Foreign Affairs magazine:
"In the face of new dangers and opportunities, our next president will have a mandate to build an enduring global peace on the foundations of freedom, SECURITY, opportunity, PROSPERITY, and hope."
I also noted to myself that McCain's acceptance speech Tuesday featured the words "Prosperity" and "Security" in the same sentence. Within the first 3 or 4 minutes of his address. I'm sure a transcript can be found.
My point: if the candidates are In for SPP, needless to say their In for NAFTA. Same goals by the same architects. And Obama has joined their club (for material advantage I guess).
So, not something Obama will want to go to war over. He'll end up getting embarrassed. Hillary's taxes. Thrash that.
