Hillary Clinton delivered a backhanded apology once again linking Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson:
"I want to put that in context. You know I am sorry if anyone was offended. It was certainly not meant in any way to be offensive," Hillary Clinton said. "We can be proud of both Jesse Jackson and Senator Obama."
We are now waiting for the apology about the apology. What is it about the Clintons and their fascination with marrying Jesse Jackson to Barack Obama? Could it be that they understand what a polarizing figure Jesse Jackson is and they'd like some of that to rub off on Obama? Could they be that devious?
I'm thinking that Hillary needs to apologize again but this time with feeling. She should remove the caveats about "if anyone was offended". It's obvious that many people were offended so why does she need to mention that? I'm envisioning about another week of profuse apologies sort of like Don Imus. At the end of which, of course, she should drop out of the race.
Meanwhile, Geraldine Ferraro has resigned but not before she exposed a level hubris that is frankly unbelieveable:
But, she added, referring to (Obama campaign consultant David) Axelrod, "He shouldn't really antagonize people like me." If Obama is nominated, Axelrod "is going to come to me and ask me to raise money for Barack Obama, and I will do it for him, too, if he stops doing this kind of horrendous attack."
In case you haven't noticed Gerry, Obama doesn't really need your help to raise money. He raised $55 million in February, acquired nearly 400,000 new donors that month and has over 1 million donors altogether. I really don't think he's hurting for cash, and I'm sure the Obama campaign would be able to tell you where to stick your awesome fundraising skills.

The apology you quoted was not an apology for Ferraro, it was for Bill (from your link...)
Regarding Ferraro, Clinton said this:
Larkin: "I really don't think he's hurting for cash, and I'm sure the Obama campaign would be able to tell you where to stick your awesome fundraising skills."
Spoken lie a true Democart -- oh wait, you're a Republican - so spoken like a true Republican.
I saw a video clip where Obama said he understood completely that Ferraro's remarks were not meant to be racist or hurtful. Too bad his doddering legion of lemmings aren't aware of the history and service folks like Ferraro have given the nation and the Democratic party.
Oh that's right, You're a Republican, and Obama is just a self-indulgent ego maniac with a messiah complex, my bad.
