Imagine if you can the brazen chutzpah of Hillary Clinton:
If you're a voter from Florida or Michigan, you know that we should count your votes. The nearly two-and-a-half million Americans in those two states who participated in the primary elections are in danger of being excluded from our democratic process, and I think that's wrong. The results of those primaries were fair, and they should be honored.
Here's what a "fair" ballot looks like in Hillary's power-mad brain:

Notice anything missing from this ballot? Don't answer that question if you're a resident of Florida.
Maybe Hillary should be running for president of the Soviet Union, not the United States of America. Obviously, Obama will have none of it:
"What we want is an opportunity for the Florida and the Michigan delegates to participate in the convention, to be seated. But ... what we don't think makes sense is, for example, the Michigan delegation to be seated when my name wasn't on the ballot. I mean, I saw an interview where Sen. Clinton suggested that we had competed in this race. I don't know exactly how she drew that conclusion, since I didn't step foot in Michigan and my name was on the ballot. So ya know, the notion that somehow it would be fair for her to obtain significantly more delegates than me in a contest where we both agreed it wouldn't count -- I wasn't on the ballot, and I didn't campaign there -- just defies logic. I think you could ask my 6 year old whether that was fair, and she would probably be able to say no that isn't."
I would have said it a bit more forcefully, but Obama likes to be more diplomatic.
I have some ideas to resolve this mess:
1. Seat the Florida delegation but give them each half a vote like the Republican Party did. Hillary's likely to win Florida again in a re-vote but probably by a margin smaller than the original 17-point difference. Hillary is hurt by the fact that the delegation's voting power is reduced, but Obama is hurt by the fact that he is denied the opportunity to narrow the gap as he is almost always able to do when he campaigns in a state.
2. Split Michigan's delegation 50-50 between the two candidates. A recent Rasmussen poll had them deadlocked at 41-41. Splitting the delegation hurts Obama because I think he would win Michigan but probably not by much. Either way the delegates would be roughly split because neither candidate is going to rack up a large margin of victory there.
There's something for both sides to dislike in this compromise. This solution nets Hillary about 17 delegates but still leaves her down by around 120 at the end of all the primaries by my estimate. Getting this whole situation resolved will take one more reason for Hillary to stay in the race off the table, and that's why Obama should go for it.

"Notice anything missing from this ballot?"
Obamabi's name is missing because he asked that his name be removed. Talk about an inexperienced, naive candidate - sheesh!
Here's the Florida primary count.
Clinton 50%
Obama 33%
Edwards 14%
Kucinich 1%
No wonder the ObamaLemmings are squealing over having Florida's delegates seated.

Whatever happened to all that noise about "Count EVERY Vote!" anyway?
Two and a half million votes cast . . . away?
Hillary didn't campaign in Michigan or Florida. The only difference between her and Obama in the two states was that he requested his name be removed from the Michigan ballot, and she didn't. Because of that, the voters who cast ballots should be disenfranchised, and another vote held?
Why? Just to give Obama a better chance? Would he like a manicure, too? Should we stop the world and fluff his pillow?

You're missing the fact that Hussein Obama did it to himself and he removed himself from the ballot in Mi also. Not siding with Shrillary but then Hussein is supposed to be the smartest two legged critter on earth and should be responsible for himself unless he needs (mentally retarded) some white chick (Shrillary) to look over him.

Jim,
Hillary was in Florida for the primary, while in Davie for a victory party she told her supporters that she would work hard to make sure their votes and the delegates would count.

Obama did what the party asked and Hillary didn't. Therefore, she's the one who has to take the hit here.
You guys can complain all you want but the rules are the rules. Just because Hillary is losing doesn't mean she gets to change the rules while the game is in the fourth quarter. The Michigan vote will never count (and it shouldn't).
On Florida, as I said in my post it's fine with me if they seat the delegates and cut the delegation in half just like the Republicans did. I could think of no state that deserves that more than Florida.

What did the DNC rule before the primary??? They Ruled that the votes from both states would not count before even one vote was cast..no one objected not even Hillary who signed a consent form agreeing to the Dnc ruling .. I cant believe the democrats are so stupid to vote in an election that doesnt count. and now you want the rest of America to believe you are capable of running the country when you cant even run your own party election..... get over it The Dnc disallowed both states for breaking the rules but I guese rules and democrats dont belong together .....
