Not to upset the huge party the Obama folks are having over their mini-bump in the Gallup Poll, but there are other polls out there, too, as noted by The News Bucket:
While Obama supporters fall all over themselves extolling the campaign's "turnaround" following the Wright controversy (evidenced by a Gallup poll published today showing Obama up by three,) I'll just toss out a contrary poll from Scott Rasmussen that shows Hillary up by two -- a swing of three in her direction. And that's not all.
On Saturday, Obama's favorable ratings slipped a little further--46% favorable, 51% unfavorable.
The full post is at the link provided. It should be observed that the same poll has Hillary's negative rating even higher, at 54%. At this rate, the Democratic nomination may come down to, "Which candidate do the majority of Americans dislike the least?"
As the two sides whine and carp at each other, recall that neither of them has ever spent one single day in circumstances as adverse as those John McCain endured for five and a half years in service to this country. But then, McCain came from a family tradition of service. He was no pampered child of privilege, roiling with ingratitude and resentment toward the country and system which granted him freedom and opportunity.
No wonder he seems so much more "likable" than either of the Democratic contenders.

McCain reminds of Ike who was always very very popular with the public, because he was always thought of as 'Good Old Ike', the military hero. In the 1960 Nixon-Kennedy election he was the one who drew the Obama like size crowd, in the last two weeks. But reality, Ike wasn't a very nice man. McCain has had somewhat of a free ride with the press, but in reality he can be very cranky and grouchy, befitting his nicknme McNasty. I'm betting he will have shed his 'likable' image after a long grueling campaign with Obama, full of debate and the unintended mistakes.

"...mini-bump in the Gallup Poll..."
A bump is a bump, ta-dump ta-dump.
As Hannity chews on his nails he grumps,
"If Obama gets another bump
I'll go back to sports!"
[sung to the tune of Mister Ed]
