Obama's short attention span (Wizbang Politics)

Ever notice that Barack Obama seems to consider anything other than his own pre-programmed speeches to be distracting? Brian Faughnan goes down the list:

Jeremiah Wright - distraction
Going to war in Iraq - distraction
Hillary's criticisms - distraction
Gay marriage - distraction
Race - distraction
Abortion - distraction
Illegal immigration - distraction.

Whoa! This guy is so easily distracted, maybe John McCain should wear a shiny lapel pin to a debate . . . Faughnan continues at the Weekly Standard:

It's not all that original to note that much of Obama's rhetoric is pretty vague -- often vapid. But I've begun to notice how many things Obama regards as distractions. When he labels a given issue a 'distraction,' he's saying that someone is whipping up a an issue from whole cloth simply for political gain.

So who does he think is being insincere: gays who want to marry, or people of faith who think marriage is for a man and a woman? How about in the competition between border enforcement advocates and those who want amnesty for illegal aliens? Or between those who favor abortion on demand, and those who believe life begins at conception?

None of Barack's Democratic opponents ever tried to nail him in the Dem Debates. Obama is unproven in that regard, and also largely untested in the debate format because of the fawning, blatantly-biased press that gave him a free ride.

McCain will make mincemeat of Obama in front of a national television audience. As soon as he's cornered Obama will gulp a few times, then fall back into Stump Speech #237, and McCain will call him on it.

I hope he doesn't run off the stage at that point...

The issues are distractions because Obama has not a clue as to how to speak about these issues and I agree with Lee Ward, when and IF
Obama had to debate - really debate McCain...
he'd be blubbering and sniffling; because clearly McCain has a handle on these issues.

Barack is clearly saying: "I don't want to talk about it, let's just agree to disagree"
"agree to disagree" is an 'easy out' to a
'smug' person who talks but says nothing.
