Gilchrest proved himself exactly what we believed about him for a long time -- that he was a Democrat in disguise. It's a Conservative district (thanks to the ultra-Dem MD legislature corralling the bulk of Republicans into the 1st and Roscoe Bartlett's 6th districts) and he was too liberal for it. When he got soundly beaten in the primary, he stopped hiding his treachery and fully became the Democrat we knew he always was, and no surprise when he went all out to make sure his supporters voted Democrat in November.
With another loony vote for the PelosiReid Circus, Kratovil can enjoy his single term before he gets voted out in 2010 and replaced by a real Republican.

One party rule in Maryland has given us budget deficiets, cronyism like no other, scalding business climates, high taxes...
Is it any wonder under Democrat rule that Maryland is one of the highest taxed states and 7th most dangerous to live in?
You would think under Democrat rule and the rampant liberalism Maryland would be Utopia!
